Pho Kim Long serves pho and Vietnamese noodle dishes at 2082 North Capitol Avenue in San Jose, in a shopping center with a parking lot in front. It opens at 9 AM every day and closes at 9 PM.

The Pho

The beef pho comes with rare filet mignon, well-done brisket, flank, tendon, tripe or beef balls in any combination, plus an extra-large combo bowl and pho with oxtail. Bowls are big. Newer dishes include pho with a large bone-in beef short rib. There is chicken pho too, and a vegetable and tofu pho.

Beyond the Pho

The turmeric fish, fried and served with dill, onions and peanuts, is the dish reviewers mention after the pho. Vermicelli bowls come with grilled pork, egg rolls, shrimp or fried fish. Rice plates include barbecue pork chop with a fried egg and Korean-style ribs, and there are chow fun and crispy noodle dishes.

To drink there is Vietnamese iced coffee with condensed milk, salty lemonade, fresh coconut and pennywort juice, and smoothies including avocado, durian and soursop.
